Enigmatic freedom is just a mirage!

IN THIS world, rather materialistic world, there is space for work, living and earnings. The space is much less for creativity, freedom, wishes. At every stage of life our thinking and creativity are bound by some predetermined notions. These notions make a person’s life worse than hell. No one wants such a life but its destiny.

When one takes birth in this materialistic world, it’s a new world for him. He looks at people around, different colors and different lights around. He has no option but to see and except what is being shown to him.
Then at kindergarten stage, one likes to experiment everything seeing for the first time. When he looks at the soil and tastes it, experiment seems to be complete. But then too, he has some vigilance to break his experiment at every point. It is bad for him, yet required.
At school, promising to give the best of all knowledge and making him creative, has remained a marketing strategy. The pressure of studies and getting marks become a nightmare. There is lot more what one wants to do than earning. May be one is not bright in studies but he can better the topper in the field of his liking. But due to social pressures on parents, they need their child to outshine others. With this in mind, the curriculums of schools are given highest priority.
But one thinks he would get his part of freedom when in college. Getting more marks may get him into IIT, but freedom is yet to be achieved. He gets lots of assignments, lectures but has little or no freedom. He limits his creativity within the topics given in the college and avoids thinking beyond though he hates it. Accepted everything, he still thinks once he gets a job he would earn and do and live his own way.
When he gets a job he is happy. He goes to work on time from 9am to 10 pm. He comes home takes dinner and sleeps. Schedule is fixed and life moves like a clock, rather monotonously. Freedom isn’t there anywhere, except perhaps on Sundays, when he sleeps tired of the weekdays work.
Now, the stage is set where he is ready to be a groom. It seems to be the happiest day of his life – not towards freedom but a web of responsibilities. There is no freedom and it will never be achieved by him.
Now do you realize your life to be trapped the same way? Yes, it is with everybody. Nobody enjoys his freedom. There is no way a person can do what he wants, not only career-wise but even for petty issues. You want to watch your favorite program, may be a movie but you have files lined up. You want to sit, relaxed and read novels; you still have more things to do. No one realises what he has lost in life. Did he ever do things that interested him?
Though life ends, true freedom is never achieved. You accept situations as they come and try to adjust and pretend being happy. A little hope still lurks somewhere that you may be free someday…but elusive freedom is nothing more than a mirage!

  1. Freedom isnt illusive. One needs an eye!
    It exists....
in the sunshine that you spoke of, in the apple that u wrote of,
in the courage that you write with, in the selflessness of love, in the pursuit of Truth, in the smile of a kid, in the love of a mother; that of a lover, in the heart of kindness, in the depth of Compassion, in the beauties around you....Freedom is everywhere!

the overall point is of Consciousness...coz a conscious mind knows what is FREEDOM....the rest find the sermon as the sound of a barking dog! So the school going boy, the college chap, the working man and the married(tied) soul can relish freedom if they can attain CONSCIOUSNESS....so the day one attains it (consciousness) one is FREE...
